Health coaching is a relatively new profession, but the idea behind it is really rooted in how we, as human beings, operate. As a Health Coach, I help you work with your unique body, and take into consideration how the details in your life affect your health and wellness.
I work with the concept of bio-individuality. My approach is adaptive and informed by a variety of traditional medicinal tools like meditation, body work, plant medicine, archetypal work and yogic practices. Instead of getting a one-size-fits-all plan I co-create customized options for my clients based on their individual circumstances, lifestyle habits, health condition and other needs.
I approach the challenge of food and health from the frame work of “whole foods”, and food enjoyment, instead of compartmentalizing eating into individual nutrients such as calories, carbs, proteins, fats etc. Why? Because the synergistic relationship among these various components, when they are ingested in the form of whole foods, deliver much greater benefits than when they are taken as individual nutrients. Think of comic book heroes; while Iron Man is a bad ass on his own, his entertainment factor goes way up with the Avenger's and Hulk's rage becomes a focused and efficient tool for the group... but, I digress...
In my private coaching programs, I work with my clients in sessions that typically run 50-70 minutes over a period of one to several months depending on your goals and desired outcomes. I am able to be with you every step of the way as we look into your lifestyle choices and begin to change the habits that may no longer serve you. This quality of focused attention results in meaningful and lasting behavioral changes, delivering long-term, sustainable health benefits.
My approach focuses on implementation and integration, so that healthy changes become who you are and your choices are no longer a struggle but a natural extension of your desire for health and your love for the gift of life. We live in the age of information overload - you don’t need more information, you need to know how to understand and appreciate your body and how to turn that relationship into your way of life.
Instead of stopping at symptoms, I work with you to uncover the underlying causes of your health concerns. We look at how stress, emotional distress, physical activities, and lack of soul nourishment, affect your overall well-being. Together, we cultivate ways to enrich these areas of your life.

Instead of forcing my clients to stick to a “plan” which, often, is more unnecessary pain than gain, we learn how to listen to your deep needs and concerns, and then work with you to support you in learning how to release the blocks and resistance that have kept you from making the behavioral changes that stick.
